| Potain's Igo
range of self-erecting tower cranes are
electrically powered, bottom-slewing models that
can use either jobsite power or power from a
portable generator. The cranes are designed to
self-erect by employing a system that includes a
mast-mounted hydraulic cylinder (activated via
an electrically powered hydraulic pump), jib
cylinders and a mast and jib pendants. The
machines can install their own counterweights
(via an integral auxiliary derrick), and the jib
can be configured to work at less-than-maximum
length. Electric motors for hoist, trolley and
swing functions are accessible from ground
level. Cranes can arrive at the jobsite via
drop-deck trailer or, if regulations allow, can
be towed by installing a transport axle. |
